This page describes privacy practices for Nexis CRO: Quiz Signal, a Shopify app by Nexis CRO. For our company-wide policy covering the marketing site and other apps, see also the Nexis CRO Privacy Policy.

Who we are

Nexis CRO provides Nexis CRO: Quiz Signal, an embedded Shopify app that helps merchants build storefront product-recommendation quizzes, map answers to catalog products, and optionally sync outcomes for follow-up. Product pages for this app live at nexiscro.com/quizsignal; the app is hosted at quizsignal.nexiscro.com.

Information we collect

When you use Quiz Signal, we may process:

  • Shop and session data. Shop domain, offline access tokens, and session records required to authenticate the embedded admin app.
  • Quiz configuration. Quiz definitions, questions, design settings, recommendation rules, and related admin content you create.
  • Quiz responses. Answers submitted on the storefront, optional email or customer identifiers when captured, timestamps, and recommendation outcomes needed to operate the product.
  • Catalog signals. Product and related Admin API data within the scopes you approve, used to power recommendations and enrichment features you enable.
  • Billing metadata. Plan and usage information via Shopify billing. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Support. Messages and attachments you send to [email protected].

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • Provide quiz publishing, storefront delivery, and recommendation results
  • Show analytics and response history in the merchant admin
  • Run optional AI quiz generation and related credit accounting
  • Sync outcomes to destinations you configure (for example Klaviyo)
  • Authenticate access, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal duties

We do not sell personal information and we do not rent or share customer data accessed through the app with third parties for their own marketing.

Shopify apps & customer data

Data accessed through Shopify is used only to deliver Quiz Signal features for your store. We implement Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, and shop redact) so merchants can fulfill GDPR and similar obligations.

AI features & subprocessors

Optional AI quiz generation may send prompts and related context to our AI provider (for example OpenAI) to produce draft quizzes. Do not include sensitive personal data in prompts you control. Subprocessors that help us host or operate the service may include infrastructure providers (such as our application host) and email or analytics tools used for support and the marketing site.

Integrations

If you connect Klaviyo or similar tools, quiz-related fields you choose to sync are sent to that provider under your account and their privacy terms. You control whether those integrations are enabled.

Retention

We retain shop, quiz, and response data while the app is installed and as needed for backups, security, and legal obligations. After uninstall or shop redact webhooks, we delete or anonymize associated data in line with Shopify’s timelines and our retention practices.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Merchants and shoppers can contact us at the address below; shoppers may also contact the merchant who collected their quiz answers.

Children

Quiz Signal is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
